About Me

My name is Laura Bartley. I am a baby, infant, child and adult sleep consultant.

Why am I a sleep consultant?
Because I have been where you are...

I had my first child at the start of lockdown in 2020, my husband and I were frankly broken- we were getting zero sleep, taking it in shifts to walk laps of the kitchen table hoping it would lull the little one to sleep (it didn’t)! We were at the end of our tether.

Our baby wasn’t happy, we weren’t happy and we were questioning “Is this it? Is this our life now - constantly exhausted with a continually crying baby?”. 

We were fortunate in that we found an amazing sleep consultant. Within a week we had a different child and a different life; he slept for 12 hours a night and napped consistently during the day, my husband and I had our evenings and life back and could start to enjoy parenting.

I believe that every child can sleep well if they are given the right tools and support. My goal is to help you achieve what I have: a well-rested family. With everyone sleeping better, you can enjoy these precious early years with fewer tears, tantrums, and less stress.

Why work with me?

I aim to empower parents and caregivers to establish healthy sleep habits for their little ones, resulting in better sleep for the whole family. By providing expert guidance and compassionate support tailored to each family's unique needs and circumstances, I strive to ensure that your child thrives. With restorative sleep, your child will experience optimal growth, development, and well-being.

Why is it important to teach your child to sleep well?

We are not born with the natural ability to sleep well, and as children grow older, they can develop poor sleeping habits for various reasons. Like any skill, the quality of sleep can be improved through training and practice. Sleep Teaching provides parents and caregivers with the help, techniques, and tactics needed to support their child at each stage of development to achieve the best sleep possible.

How do we acheive this?

Step 1

Once you place an order through the website I will contact you to schedule our initial consultation call.

Step 2 

We will have a video call for up to an hour to get a detailed understanding of both where your child is currently with sleep and also your family patterns and routines; I want to make sure that everything we put together works for both your child's sleep & also your wider family life.

 

Step 3 

Using the information you’ve provided, I will put together a fully bespoke plan for your child. This includes nap times and durations, bedtimes and wake-up times, techniques for settling, and walkthrough guides on how to implement all of this.

 

Step 4 

We will have a call to talk you through the plan, answer any questions you may have, and make sure that you are happy and comfortable implementing the plan.

 

Step 5 

I will be proactively checking in with you throughout the plan period to make sure that all is going well and will be available if you are having any issues or challenges; think of me like a personal trainer- my job is to support you and make sure that you are on track to succeed! Whether you prefer emails, text/ WhatsApp, or calls I’ll be available to help you whenever you need it.  

Step 6 

At the end of the plan period we will have a 30-minute call to discuss how the plan has worked for you and how progress has been made, as well as answer any questions or queries you may have moving forward.
